Captain's Loft

Modern, comfortable, light-filled, spacious home that was a great fit for the whole family.

Nice house. Nicely furnished. Close to many places. We enjoyed our time here.

Pros: ** We loved that this home felt like home! ** Great location but also away from the busyness of the main street. ** It had a well-stocked kitchen! ** The screened-in porch is a great place to eat or relax after a long day without having to be Mosquito snacks! ** The open floor plan allows for plenty of space for the kids to play without being underfoot. Cons: ** The grill was not well taken care of and did not get hot enough to cook our food. ** The children's bunk bedroom is very small and there is not much clearance between the top bunk and the ceiling. ** The home sleeps 8 but there is not enough seating at the dining table or in the living room for 8 people. Comfortably, the home only houses 6 people.

The house was so very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the screened area in the Captain's loft...great breezes, lots of birds flying above. The house is walking distance from town, close to restaurants. It was a relaxing week in a great house.

We have always see this house and finally rented it. Beautiful and spacious.

We like being close to Maddox Boulevard with it’s two coffee houses and the Island Creamery plus the house is priced reasonably. The only minor negative is the upper floor air-conditioning is not very effective.

Captains Loft is located close to town and restaurants but just far enough from the traffic. We find the reverse floor plan very convenient when returning from the beach and other excursions. It has a well stocked kitchen and also cleaning supplies. We enjoyed the screened in area on the top floor.

Our family had a great vacation. The house was very clean, had everything thing we needed and was in a great location. Unfortunately for us the air conditioner decided it was done so we had a couple of very hot nights in the house which made it really uncomfortable. I’m told the A/C unit will be replaced. I would highly recommend this property (as long as the air conditioner is replaced.)

Me and family really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home in Chincoteague, very comfortable beds and rooms for a family of 8. the house is in a very quite location but near all the stores and restaurants that you can find in town, hopefully we can visit again!!

Man ol man...where do I start? This was by far the best vacation home Ive stayed in. You name it, it was in the home. TVs, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, grill, silverware, toaster, coffee pot, cooking pots and pans...the whole nine. The transaction was simple and easy, done over the phone. The house had yard space for my puppy and beautiful tile and hardwood floors in the living space. The perfect house for 7 and even better location. We were close to the main road, grocery store and a Dollar General. Ill definitely be using Chincoteague Realty for my next visit this summer. Our kids enjoyed every moment of the home, mainly the bunk beds and being able to have their own space. Housekeeping did a great job as we didnt really have to do anything when we arrived. Everything was in good working condition and the WiFi was good as well. Beds were comfy and clean.

What a great stay! We arrived at Chincoteague a day earlier than expected and I called the rental office to let them know that if captains loft was ready earlier than 4:00 pm on Sunday to please let us know. They called us at noon to tell us it was ready! We were so excited! Great location! Super clean and had everything we needed. We are a family of 4 and a dog. So nice to have 4 bathrooms! I spent most of my week outside on the enclosed gazebo relaxing, eating meals, and reading my book. We have been coming to Chincoteague for over 15 years and this place is by far a keeper. So nice to have a water hose outside to rinse off the sand from the beach. Everyone had a great time. The house is very airy, open, and full of natural light. We loved our stay and will reserve it again next year.
