About

"Anchor's Rest" - Centrally located, just a short distance to the carnival grounds, shopping, ice cream, dinner and the movies. This welcoming, spacious rental home features a fully equipped kitchen (don't forget to bring k-cups for the Keurig!) with abundant counter space opening into the separate dining room. Enjoy the 65" HD flat screen TV, blu-ray player, game system, and foosball table in the great room. Relax with a glass of wine and a good book or check your e-mail on high speed Wi-Fi in the cozy living room. Sip your morning coffee in the sunroom and breakfast nook overlooking Main Street. The laundry room with washer/dryer, set tub, cabinets, and second fridge is a great place to store all the "extras" you bring. Anchor's Rest has room for lots of family and friends (and a dog, too) in this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home. 1st floor bedroom (2 twin bunks) sleeps 4 with a full bathroom on main floor. 2nd floor master bedroom has a full bathroom, king bed and balcony with views of Chincoteague Channel. Down the hall you will find the third full bathroom and two more spacious bedrooms (two twin beds and moveable pack-n-play in one, queen bed in the other). 

- No smoking is permitted on the premises. 
- Linens and towels are not included with your reservation. Please inquire about our new attractive linen packages!
- This property is pet friendly with a pet fee per pet. Pet fee is $150 per pet. All pets must be disclosed prior to arrival.
- Any reservations made for a future year (known as "Advanced Reservations") are subject to rate and availability changes. These reservations will be confirmed in January of the arrival year.

Very nice property, good location to shops and dining. House has room for family members to have space for activities. Had mostly good weather and enjoyed the beach.

Anchor's Rest was truly our home away from home. My husband, daughter, two sons and my aunt from SC loved the space. The kitchen was well stocked. The open bar from the kitchen to the dining room made it easy to communicate together while enjoying meals. I a non-techy soul was able to use the directions and successfully get the TV on. The balcony on the master suite was used frequently to sit outside and read. We tried to see the rocket launch from there as well but it was a bit cloudy. We enjoyed putting a puzzle together on the lower level enclosed porch. It was nice to have space to start a puzzle and leave it for a few days until completion. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Anchor's Rest. When we are back in the area, it will be the first place I try to get our reservation.
P.S. My aunts husband who has passed was in the Navy. It seemed per the phots on the wall that the owner of the home was as well. She really loved this connection.

Had a wonderful vacation. First time at Anchor's Rest and we loved it. We brought our dog and she loved it. Our favorite room was the front room. We ate all of our meals out there and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. We already booked for next year!!!

I visit Chincoteague every year, usually choosing a different home in which to stay. Anchor's Rest was lovely - nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. My favorite time of day was early morning in the sun room on the front of the home with a cup of tea, watching the foot traffic wander by.

The house was great. The space was perfect for our family and our dog too. The bedrooms were comfortable. Ms. Stella did an excellent cleaning job on the house as well. Sometime we have to clean a space once we get there but that was not the case here.

Perfect Puppy-Friendly Beach House

This was the perfect beach house for our family of 5 plus our mastiff mix. This home is close to downtown and walking distance to shops. A nice walk each evening to the Island Creamery. We enjoyed a 5 mile bike ride to and from the beach each day to the "bike beach" where it is very private and relaxing. We enjoyed all the space this house had to offer, the deck off the master bedroom, which was perfect for the 4th of July fireworks. I highly recommend this beautiful, clean home for any family who is looking to enjoy a nice vacation that includes their pet.

What a wonderful week! In a great home, too! Anchor's Rest is a beautiful home in a very nice location. Well appointed, comfy, pet friendly, and easy to care for, with ample parking to boot. The photo I chose suits the house's moniker rather well. So happy we chose this rental.

We absolutely loved staying at Anchors Rest, so spacious, pet friendly and close to everything, especially ice cream at the Island Creamery!! It was the perfect location for seeing the 4th of July fireworks! We loved our first vacation to Chincoteague Island!
